I am excited to announce that SupportPay has purchased WeParent. This acquisition means that we will be able to give divorced & single parents a comprehensive co-parenting solution. This means will deliver a single solution that helps parents address all of their children's needs - from scheduling and events to communications and making it easy to manage and share expenses and payments.
I founded SupportPay many years ago as a child of a divorce and a recent divorcee who only wanted to do what was best for my child. Several years ago, I was invited to join and advise Elena at WeParent. We have worked together to focus on the needs of single and divorced parents, with WeParent concentrating on schedules, calendaring, and communication and SupportPay focusing on child support, alimony, and shared finances.
As we saw our mission drive together, merging the companies made sense. As a result, we now benefit from adding additional resources from SupportPay to the WeParent code.
I am a WeParent customer. How does this acquisition impact me?
You will not experience any service disruption. We have been managing WeParent for the past few months to demonstrate to customers how seamless the migration will be. This acquisition means that we will be able to offer faster support and deliver new features and bug fixes much quicker than we could previously provide.
What will you deliver in the future?
The immediate items on our roadmap include the following:
- In-app help so that you can find the answers you need quickly
- Improved and a new release of WeParent on Android
- Single login and account across WeParent & SupportPay
- Brand new WeParent web application - which will integrate with SupportPay
- Improved ability to access and download communication archives
- Improved communications notifications, sorting, searching, etc
Do you have other feedback or suggestions? Drop us a note at support@weparent.app or help@supportpay.com or request a new feature.
I look forward to continuing to build a solution that helps divorced, single, or remarried parents.
