What's New in WeParent? (iOS)

New Features & Improvements:

• NEW! Images are now available in the archive: A long-waited feature is finally here: now, archives will include the images shared in the chats.

• Improved date format and date stamp: We’ve enhanced the date format in the app, and also the date stamp in the messages.

• Improved view of events in the calendar: Now, the calendar shows more details of the events added.

• Improved in-app notifications: Now, notifications are more accurate, and only appear when logged into the account.

• Improved holiday schedules: Now, the preview of the calendar when creating a holiday schedule shows the holiday selected, instead of a different date.

• Enhanced the performance of the messaging feature: Now, messages take less time to load, including messages with pictures, and when searching for old messages in the conversation.

Bug Resolutions:

• Names were showing incorrectly in the archive: We’ve fixed the issue where the names were showing incorrectly in the archives.

• Keyboard blocking the chat after sending a message: We’ve fixed the issue where the keyboard was blocking the chat after sending a message, making it impossible to read the whole conversation.

New Features & Improvements:

• More data added to the demo account: We’ve added more data to our demo account, improving the experience for users trying the app for the first time.

• Ability to include images in the archives: Our users now have the ability to include the images sent in any conversation when downloading the archives.

Bug Fixes:

• Keyboard blocking text after sending a message: We’ve fixed the issue where the keyboard blocked the messages after sending one, as it wouldn’t hide.

• App not loading 2022 in the calendar: We’ve fixed the issue where the app was not loading the entire year in the calendar. Now, the whole of 2022 and 2023 are visible.

• Calendar not showing schedules correctly: Now, the schedules show up correctly in the app.

• Icons not visible when the app is in dark mode: We’ve improved the dark mode version of the app. Now, all icons are visible when using this mode.

• Users getting push notifications after logging out: We’ve fixed the issue where the app kept sending push notifications even after the user logged out from their account. Now, push notifications will only appear if the user is logged in.

• App not showing up the full name of the co-parent with custody in any schedule: We’ve improved how the name of the co-parent with custody appears in any schedule. Now, the full name shows up.

New Features:

• New welcome message!: We’ve updated and improved the welcome message our new users see when accessing the app for the first time.

• Improved UI in the demo account: We’ve changed how the names in the demo account used to show, as it was confusing. Now, our users will see the demo data with the following users/names: Me, Other Parent, and Child.

• Updated UI for iPads: We’ve updated the UI for the login screen in the iPad version of the app, showing a cleaner and more user-friendly screen.

• Removed the help button: We’ve removed the help button in the app. Now, users can report bugs and ask for help by shaking their phones.

Bug Fixes:

• Calendar and Schedules fix: We’ve fixed several issues on the Calendar and Schedules, such as:

  • The app crashes when creating a new schedule.

  • When editing the end date for a schedule, the app would incorrectly set the new end date as the start date.

  • Schedules not loading on the calendar.

• Messages not loading: We’ve fixed the issue where the messages kept loading after opening a chat. Now our users should be able to view the whole conversation.

• The latest version not working on iPads: We’ve fixed the issue where the latest version of the app was not working on iPads. It works correctly now.
