Hey there! Are you wondering what's new on the latest Android version of WeParent? We got you covered; here you have a summary of our latest release:

 

WeParent App Version: 1.1.6

Release date: 03/22/2023

New Features & Improvements: 

  • Improved calendar feature, specifically for holidays and events: We've updated and improved our calendar feature. Now, all holidays are up to date in the calendar.

  • Enhanced the schedules feature for custody schedules: We’ve improved the schedules feature so that the calendar doesn’t show parenting time if no custody schedule is created.

  • We've improved the account creation process for new users through the Accept Invite functionality: Android users can easily create their accounts using the Accept Invite functionality.

Bug Resolutions: 

  • Users unable to start a call from the Contacts section: We’ve fixed the issue where the app wouldn’t allow users to start a call from the Contacts section.

  • Issue with events not showing up on the calendar on the last date set: We have resolved the bug that was preventing events to show up on the calendar on the last date set.

 

WeParent App Version: 1.1.5

New Features & Improvements:

  • NEW! Ability for other family members to choose a color for their avatar: Now, other family members have the ability to choose the color of their avatar in case they don’t want to use the one set by default.

  • Improved login screen: We’ve enhanced the design of the login screen, making the user interface more functional and look cleaner.

  • Improved functionality for creating schedules: We’ve improved the schedules functionality

  • Enhanced the performance of the messaging feature: Now, the messaging feature is more efficient, allowing users to send and receive messages without any interruption.

Bug Resolutions:

  • App requesting to subscribe again when already subscribed: We’ve fixed the issue where the app asked our users to subscribe, even if they were already subscribed via the App Store/ Play Store.

  • Changes not reflecting when editing family members: We’ve fixed the issue where the changes made when editing family members were not saved.

  • Search functionality not working in the Photo library: Now, users are able to search photos in the library again.

  • Invites issue: We’ve fixed the issue where invitees were able to accept more than one invitation to join the account.

 

WeParent App Version: 1.1.2

Release date: 12/09/2022

 

New Features:

  • Added the name of the custodial parent in the schedules: We’ve updated how the calendar shows the name of the custodial parent in the schedules. The schedule shows the parent's name instead of “Me.”

Bug Fixes:

  • Archive opening again when trying to send a message: We’ve fixed the issue where the archive screen would open again when trying to send a message to other users via chat.

  • Back arrow blocked by long text: We’ve fixed the issue where long texts blocked the back arrow in the app, causing difficulties in returning to the previous screen.

  • Users unable to zoom in or open pictures: Now, users can open pictures when tapping on them and zoom in/out as needed.

  • Calendar and Schedules fix: We’ve fixed several issues on the Calendar and Schedules, such as the calendar disappearing after adding a schedule, sole custody schedules showing the incorrect parent in the preview, etc.

 

WeParent App Version: 1.1.1

Release date: 09/07/2022

New Features:

  • Updated the design of the login screen: Now the login screen looks more user friendly and with a fresh design that fits better the WeParent app.

  • Improved the user interface for the documents section: We’ve improved the layout for the document section so it looks more user friendly.

Bug Fixes:

  • Editing documents: We’ve fixed the issue where users were unable to edit documents.

  • Creating events: We’ve fixed numerous issues that our users were experiencing when creating events, including the time of the event resetting to 12 AM.

  • Plus :plus: button missing when trying to add a new document from a folder in Android: The plus :plus: button to add a new document from a folder has been reinstated.

  • Multiple issues in the documents section: We’ve fixed multiple issues in the document section, such as uploading .ppt files, not showing documents’ extensions, documents getting duplicated, etc.

  • Downloaded archives showing different names than in the app: Now the archives show the same name as it appears in the app.

  • Documents not loading when trying to open them up: Now users can open up any uploaded documents and they will load normally.

  • Documents not uploading after given the app permission to access the device’s files: We’ve fixed the issue where files were not uploading even after given the app permission to access the device’s files.

  • App crashes when downloading archives: The app no longer crashes when downloading archives.

WeParent App Version: 1.0.10

Release date: 07/07/2022

 

New Features:

  • Export events to Google Calendar : It’s finally here! Now you’ll have the ability to export events manually to Google Calendar.

  • Ability to edit child’s last name: Now the app will allow you to remove the last name of a child and save the changes.

  • Date format wording: We’ve improved the wording for the date format in the app so that is more appealing and less confusing.

  • New notification added: We’ve implemented a new notification that lets you know when someone new has joined/accepted your invitation.

Bug Fixes:

  • Custom schedules: We fixed the issue where two scenarios were generated with End Date when creating custom schedules.

  • Files added as folders: We fixed the issue where files were being added as folders. Now they are uploaded as files, and you can move them to any folder that you’ve previously created.

  • Creating new schedules: We fixed the issue where the app crashes if you create a brand new schedule.

  • Icons have been re-named to match family section: Now the “Child” icon in the main calendar page will be the same as it appears in the family section.
